RE: [CA11] Axiom 12 linking to Emtrak A100 ais ???
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Gizmo1972,

As you can see from the em-trak A100's Owner's Manual, it features a NMEA 0183 communications interface, but does not feature a NMEA 2000 communications interface. In contrast, Axiom MFDs feature a NMEA 2000 communications interface, but do not feature a NMEA 0183 communications interface. In such situations, we typically advise that an Actisense NGW-1-ISO-AIS NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 data bridging device be interfaced between the marine electronics system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone and the 38400 BAUD communications interface of the AIS receiver/transceiver. As with Raymarine's AIS950, the em-trak A100 features a junction box where the Actisense NGW-1-ISO-AIS NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 data bridging device will be connected. The support team from em-trak should be able to provide guidance concerning which terminals of the junction box will be used to interface the NMEA 0183 leads of the Actisense NGW-1-ISO-AIS NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 data bridging device to.
