Is there supposed to be sound coming from the handset and active speaker? Or just the active speaker?

I have no sound from the handset and very faint audio from the active speaker.

Do I simply need a new active speaker?

The volume on the handset is set at Max and the knob on the active speaker is at Max too

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Sbarras,

The Ray240 handset does indeed feature a speaker. Should you have increased the volume via the handset and should the handset not produce audible sound, then it would be recommended that the handset along with the base station be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
