[CA11] 260 vhf
Recently purchased a used boat that came with Raymarine 260 vhf. Worked during sea trial but now have a problem with the volume . The volume on the handset is barely audible at setting 10 and the active speaker has no sound at all.
checked all connections and all are tight.
Unfortunately this model is no longer serviced by Raymarine. Is the problem in the black box , I can purchase a factory rebuilt for around $ 400 as one option.
Any suggestions on trouble shooting ?

thanks

RE: [CA11] 260 vhf
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Ricdae,

Based upon the symptoms reported, it would indeed appear that the Ray260 base station has suffered a failure. That said, Raymarine's Product Repair Center continues to offer repairs for this recently retired product. It is accordingly recommended that the Ray260's base station ... as well as its handset be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.

Ricdae,

Unfortunately, service for the Ray240 VHF radios is now fairly limited (i.e. repairs to the base station and handset cables only). Given the symptoms, it would be recommended that your base station be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.

Ricdae,

Q. Will not be sending the handset or active speaker, correct ?
A. If sending in the base station, then you may also want to consider sending these items in as well to permit them to be tested as a system.
