[DG11] ST60+ wind direction only shows port side wind
My ST60+ wind needle never leaves the 30 to 150 degree port side range. I've measured the voltage of the wind direction wires (blue and green) when I had wind from 90 deg starboard:
blue wire: 3.6 V (seemingly constant)
green wire: varying between 3.5 - 3.7 V

Am I correct to think it's the wind transducer that's faulty? Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi bgm.palmquist@gmail.com

Thankyou for your enquiry.

The full test for the masthead transducer can be found here, this will identify if the issue is with the masthead unit, if the voltages are incorrect, test at the base of the mast to be sure there are no cable issues through the boat.

The voltages you describe, suggest the masthead unit, mast cable or mast connection block has a fault.

Regards

Derek
