[CA11] What gets connected to the HS5?
im a little confused after the reading the stickies. I currently have 2-axiom 12's, an A65, fusion radio, RV-220 transducers,DST800 transducer,Quatum 2 radar, m81105 rudder reference,ev-200 autopilot, ga150 antenna, and 2 actsense EMU-1. Im also adding a Flir m232 camera.

which of these would get connected to the hs5 vs seatalk?

RE: [CA11] What gets connected to the HS5?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum saburke17,

The HS5 RayNet Network Switch is designed to support interfacing compatible devices featuring an Ethernet Network (RayNet, SeaTalkhs) interface to one another. Please note that the A65 (or a65) may not be interface to an Ethernet network which also features MFDs running LightHouse 3 software (i.e. Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs and eS/gS-Series MFDs). The following devices from the list provided have an Ethernet communications list and will in turn need to be interfaced to the HS5 RayNet Network Switch:
- each Axiom MFD
- Quantum 2 radome (if interfacing the radome to the system via a Quantum Data Cable or via a Digital Radar Cable)
- FLIR M232

The EMU-1, EV-200 autopilot components (excluding rudder reference transducer), Fusion stereo, Smart DST800, and Data Master Axiom MFD will each be interfaced as a spur to the system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. Should the MFD listed as an A65 actually be an a65 MFD, then it too may be interfaced as a spur to the backbone.
