I purchased and installed the ngw-1 as specified by raymarines forum, current issue is very aggressive changes to course are made when not needed in track mode video below shows a fraction of what it’s doing

Tried with rudder dampening set to 1 and 4 no change

Dear relentless,

Thank you for your post.

What is your pilot response level set to?

This is setup during the commissioning but you can make temporary changes to the response to see what the most suited level for you is Main menu>pilot response>please refer to section 8.2 on page 50 of the manual available here.

You can also refer to the commissioning in section 7.4 to alter the pilot response.

Many Thanks
Louise

As stated earlier, yes I have tried them all, the same abrupt change is made no matter the response setting

Dear relentless,

In your initial post you referenced the 'rudder dampening' not the pilot response.

Have you tried both the rudder dampening and the pilot response?

What was the maximum value you increase to when trying to reduce the response of the pilot?

Many Thanks
Louise

I replied to an earlier post 2nights ago with all the parameters of the autopilot settings, but I do not see it within the thread anymore

Dear relentless,

The reason for asking if your issue was resolved was due to my post being replied to but no content. I did not see it either, could post again?

Many Thanks
Louise
