[LW11] DSM30 or 300 wont take update from E90W

HI,
I have an E90W with a DSM30. Been trying to update the SW but keep getting the error (transfer failed) but I have no issues connecting and using the current DSM30. Just wanted to update the SW to see if I could get the TEMP to work with my B744V transducer.
I also have a DSM300 and when thats connected it all works fine also but the update wont transfer either. Same error. I am using a Raymarine switch for the ethernet backbone.
Is there any trick to get this update over to the DSM's? I have a CF card with the 4.20 SW and the E90W boots into the update SW app without any issues.
