Does the HD open array radar require a vcm100 to supply power to the unit,Ihave one without the vcm100 powered directly from the 24volt system so when in the Marina precinct it works ok but in open sea does not pick anything up that includes land mass within range.

Thank you for your post.

The symptoms you are experiencing are evident of a lack of the VCM100 module. The VCM is required for large open arrays because of the power they draw and the range they need to achieve.

The part number for the VCM100 is E52091.
