[DG11] ST60 wind intrument
The rotor on my vane assembly went AWOL & the replacement (#R28170) gives a reading with a 180 degree error. Is there a simple fix for this, such as reversing a pair of wires on the panel mounted wind instrument?

Thanks

Stan

RE: [DG11] ST60 wind intrument
Hi Stan,

Thankyou for your enquiry.

The R28170 can be calibrated to align the pointer correctly with the bow when motoring head to wind.

The normal process here is to motor the boat head to wind so that the apparent wind is directly on the bow. Then, access the user calibration of the wind display to which the wind transducer is connected, the calibration allows you to align the pointer on the wind display to the correct apparent wind angle. Once this calibration is stored, the wind angle displayed will remain correct.

Regards

Derek
