[CA11] GPS issues with an Element

[CA11] GPS issues with an Element
Several time per day a message is displayed on the screen that states GPS fix lost,
it quickly goes away and the unit continues to leave a track, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Has the Element display been install in a location affording it an unobstructed view of the skies overhead?

Yes, it is located on top of the console, there is a burn bar above it but it doesn't block access to the skies.

While no software updates for Element have stated that they have made any improvements to GPS reception, it is recommended that you ensure that the MFD has been updated with the latest available Raymarine product software update. If so, and the problem persists, then it would be recommended that the Element display be
- returned to the dealer for replacement (if purchased within the last 30 days) or
- sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
