[CA11] GA150 GPS antenna
I recently bought an Axiom Pro Rvx 16" MFD, on the back it has a port for a GA150 GPS antenna. Is there any way I can connect my existing Raystar 130 GPS antenna, or do I have to upgrade to the GA150. Is there different models of the GA150, I notice on Amazon they have a model #A80288 for the a9/a12 series, and another GA150 listed for the eS9/12, Axiom pro, without a model# listed?

RE: [CA11] GA150 GPS antenna
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Tmeve,

Q1. Is there any way I can connect my existing Raystar 130 GPS antenna, or do I have to upgrade to the GA150.
A1. It is indeed possible to utilize a Raystar 130 GPS Sensor with an Axiom Pro MFD. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. While the FAQ shows an a-Series MFD, the concept is the same ... both the MFD and Raystar 130 / 150 GPS Sensor are designed to be installed as individual spurs to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. As the NMEA 2000 socket of the Axiom Pro MFDs feature a DeviceNet (M) socket, please click here to view a FAQ addressing how the MFD may be adapted to be interfaced to a spur socket within a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone which has been constructed from Raymarine's SeaTalkng networking components. The first paragraph of the referenced FAQ specifically addresses this subject.

Q2. Is there different models of the GA150?
A2. Negative. Raymarine has only produced the A80288 GA150 GNSS Antenna and it is compatible with a9x MFDs, a12x MFDs, eS9x MFDs, eS12x MFDs, Axiom Pro MFDs, and Axiom XL MFDs.
