Hi Chuck.

I have an older Raymarine digital HD 48" array. I need to replace the 48" array, but want to keep the base. Can I use a super HD array or color HD array in this replacement? I'm not sure how these components work together, and if the color or Super HD quality is in the array or the base.

You can use the other arrays in this application. The main difference is in the pedestals.
