Greetings,
I am starting to have trouble with my smart controller in my tower.
I have decided I really don't need a remote type controller in the tower.

I would like to replace the smart controller with a fixed controller head.

Are there wires from the main helm? The battery has been dead for a while but the unit still works when plugged in.

What is the most reasonable way to proceed.

What is the model number of the course computer in the system? You would have to make sure that the smart controller charging cable has all three Seatalk wires available, Red, Yellow and Bare (shield). Some charging cable installations will only have the Red and Bare(shield).
