Documentation for RayTech's Sail Racer Features

The advanced sailing, formerly referred to as Sail Racer, features within the RayTech software were designed to support logging and processing of performance data, creation polar files (.rpl), creation of optimized offshore routes based upon a vessel's polars and GRIB weather forecast, and other performance sailing features. Support for these features is now quite limited and generally constrained to providing the customer with access to the documentation featured in the RayTech RNS 6.2 User's Guide and the RayTech Sail Racer Training document.

The logs produced by RayTech software are designed to capture most data items received/calculated by the RayTech. The logs produced by RayTech are designed to be processed by the undocumented/unsupported logprocess.exe executable located within RayTech's installation path (c:\program files\raymarine\raymarine raytech navigator or c:\program files (x86)\raymarine\raymarine raytech navigator). The logprocess executable is designed to produce a delimited file for the user specified time segment containing user specified data channels. The resulting delimited file file may be imported into applications such as Microsoft Excel.

Please note that the attached document was developed for RayTech Navigator / Sail Racer 4.1 software, but remains relevant as RayTech's advanced sailing features have not been updated significantly since v4.1.
