Hi Derek
cannot get my axiom 9 to se my autopilot
wont let me enable

just testing on bench
axiom 9 won't respond to smart pilot S3 ST6001

thanks Ricardo
Hi Ricardomann

The AXIOM will only interface and directly control the current generation of autopilots - that is to say the Evolution series. the smartpilot was designed many years ago and so the AXIOM does not recognise it.

The AXIOM cannot be used to control the operation of the autopilot, course changes or STANDBY or AUTO mode, the AXIOM can, however, still be used to send route following information to the Smartpilot. The link here provides information relating to interfacing legacy autopilots to AXIOM, this link here describes operation in TRACK mode between AXIOM and a legacy autopilot.

regards
Derek
Hi i get you. my smattered pilot reads from axiom and reacts to the data only ? thanks rick
Hi Ricardomann,
Yes - correct, the smartpilot will accept track information from the AXIOM via the STng to SeaTalk1 converter.
Thanks
Derek
