I noticed in the manual it is required to have a Evolution EV-1 / EV-2 for the Doppler & Marpa to work.
I don't have this on my boat will this be a problem?

Doppler and Marpa Require a fast update rate of heading in order to correctly process and track targets. More information about the effect of heading can be found here .
The poor performance of Doppler and Marpa without good quality heading will be especially noticeable in rough wetaher or when the vessel is turning at higher speeds.
