[CA11] C120 classic + new E127 mfd - Masquerade - 01-26-20 02:09 PM

I wish to replace 1 of the 2 C120 classics with a new E127.
The installation manual for the E127 (on page 26 ) implies that the C120 classic is not compatible, however on page 25 it seems that it maybe if the E127 is the master unit.
Is this referring to the SeaTalkhs connection system.
Would they be compatible if connected through a converter?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Masquerade,

Q1. Is this referring to the SeaTalkhs connection system.
A1. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. The reference within the manual which you are referring to was for a c-Series (note letter case) MFD. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, It is not possible for a C-Series MFDs to share cartography, radar imagery, fishfinder imagery, Sirius Satellite Weather, or Sirius Satellite Radio data with any MFD, including another C-Series Classic MFD.

A2. Would they be compatible if connected through a converter?
A2. Should one be satisfied with sharing of is alphanumeric GPS, instrument, and navigational data, then a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Kit would be utilized to support such data sharing between a C-Series Classic MFD and an e-Series MFD (i.e. e127).
