[CA11] SS264N With Axiom - thumper - 02-05-20 09:12 AM

I have two Axioms (12" and 9") and the RV-100 installed on my boat.

I am looking to add a flush mounted fixed frequency transducer with the best possible bottom discrimination in water depths less than 200'. It looks like the Airmar SS264N using the single 200khz transducer would be the most sensitive (lowest Q rating).

Is this transducer compatible with my equipment? Since this is a 1KW unit which sonar box would be best to add, the CP-370?

Or if you have a better option happy to hear it

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Thumper,

Please click here to view a thread in which I had previously addressed this subject. If seeking to drive a compatible 1kW 50kHz/200kHz transducer at the full 1kW, then it should indeed be interfaced to a fishfinder product featuring 1kW 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder sounder circuitry (ex. CP370, Axiom Pro RVX MFD, etc.).
