[DG11] Axiom pro 12 replacing Garmin - Stian69 - 02-08-20 05:56 AM I have installed an Axiom Pro 12 in 35Ë‹. The transducer installed is av B744 with Garmin connection. According to Airmar it is possible to connect this by: "You should be able to use the existing transducer but would need to cut the B744V connector and splice to a cable supplied by Raymarine for connection to the 50/200khz port. Speed from the B744V would not work." What cable do I need? Is this recomended at all? RE: [DG11] Axiom pro 12 replacing Garmin - Derek - Raymarine - Moderator - 02-14-20 10:54 AM Hi Stian69 Thankyou for your enquiry, The B744 refers to the type of Ceramic built into the transducer and the configuration of the transducer, ( bronze housing etc . . ), Airmar transducers are widely used by different manufacturers in the leisure marine industry, and Airmar fit different connectors on the cable, but also wire them differently internally. Since we are unaware of the colour coding used by Garmin transducers, we can only recommend asking Airmar to advise how the garmin transducer can be connected to the plug for the Raymarine AXIOM 12 PRO. Please also bear in mind, you will need to use the AXIOM 12 PRO-RVX model, the AXIOM 12 PRO-S cannot be connected to a transducer of the B744 type. Note that the Transducer would need to be connected to a Raymarine 8 pin plug, this will then need to use the Raymarine Adapter cable A80496 to connect to the 11 pin socket on the AXIOM 12 PRO-RVX.
