I recently purchased a used Ray 240. It appears the PO had to cut one of the extension cables (E45012) when removing the unit. Can this cable be spliced or will I need to purchase a replacement?

General comment. Raymarine has a support goal of providing parts and service for its products for approximately five years after production of the product has ended. Caution should be exercised when purchasing older equipment for which parts and service can no longer be provided. The Ray240 was replaced within Raymarine's modular VHF lineup several years ago. Parts, as well as Raymarine's ability to repair these VHF radios may now be limited.

A1. Yes ... simply match the colors of the leads within each half of the cable.
