a68 Transmitting AP PGNs - [email protected] - 06-07-16 03:33 PM I think I have identified a situation that makes it difficult to use the EVO when using something other than a Raymarine MFD to provide waypoint and route data to the autopilot. Even though no route has been activated or selected in the a68, it still seems to be transmitting PGNs 129283 and 129284. This prevents any other device from communicating route data to the autopilot. In addition, once the EVO has gotten these PGNs from any device, it will not accept them from another device unless the EVO is rebooted with the original device powered off. A Garmin MFD seems to do exactly the same thing, transmit PGNs 129283 and 129284 even with no route active. I cannot specify data sources to the EVO as I have third party devices attached to the network and even then, there is no menu item for specifying route and waypoint data. A feature suggestion will be logged to consider additions to the Data Sources feature of the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD, i70 instruments, and p70/p70R Autopilot Control Heads to address source selection in systems having more than one chartplotting product interfaced to the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. |
