[CA11] Interfacing multiple devices - sailalaya - 03-23-20 06:43 PM

I am trying and failing to interface the following Raymarine products:

E140W MFD
ST50 Tridata
ST6000 Plus Autopilot control
Autohelm 100/300 Autopilot
Type 2 Drive Unit
Raystar 112 GPS
ST60+ Wind Instrument
HD Digital Raydome

Can you tell me how I can do this??

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum sailalaya,

Unfortunately, we do not have the bandwidth to provide custom diagrams. However, we can and do provide comments on diagrams which have been submitted to this Forum for review. Should you find that you require onboard assistance with installing / interfacing this equipment Certified Raymarine Installers may be hired.

Please note that the product documents listed below may be downloaded from Raymarine's Product Documents web page. These documents address how the MFD, ST60 Wind, ST6000+ Autopilot Control Head, and Type 300 Autopilot Course Computer may be interfaced via a SeaTalk bus using SeaTalk networking components. Unlike ST50+ instruments, ST50 instruments were not supported for use with E-Series Widescreen MFDs. That said, it may well work and not result in any communications issues if also interfaced to the aforementioned powered SeaTalk bus. Unfortunately, Raymarine no longer offer SeaTalk Cables having the round plugs found on ST50 instruments.

It would not be recommended that the Raystar 112LP GPS Sensor be used due to GPS rollover with this long ago retired sensor. The MFD may be adapted to be interfaced to a Raystar 150 GPS Sensor or may be connected directly to a Tack Tick T908 NMEA 0183 GPS Sensor which in turn may be interfaced to the NMEA 0183 leads of the MFD's Power/SeaTalk/NMEA 0183/Video input cable.

The documents listed below also address how the HD Digital Radome will be interfaced to the MFD and how it will be powered. More information may be found on this topic within the FAQ found here.
