I have a Hynautic helm that only has two ports.
I just received the EV150 Type 1 pump that has 3 ports.
Can I just plug the center port on the pump or should I buy a remote reservoir?

Don't know how old the steering is.
I bought the boat about two years ago and haven't had a steering problem.
Just need to know if I can leave the reservoir port plugged.

A. Negative. Should the helm not feature a reservoir port, then a remote reservoir will need to be installed.

Thanks for the clarification. I ordered a remote tank then I decided to remove the Hynautic and buy a new Seastar helm that has three ports lol.
