Hi
Can anyone confirm the AIS type in the Raymarine ray73 VHF radio, is it send and receive or receive only? The brochure quotes “built in receiver providing target data for plotter, radar and instruments”. Not very clear or me just being slow!

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum biglad777,
As of the date of this response, Raymarine has not produced a VHF radio which also functions as a Class B AIS transceiver. Any AIS capabilities within Raymarine VHF radios to date have simply been those of an AIS receiver. If interested in a Raymarine AIS transceiver for a recreational craft, then the AIS700 would be recommended.
