What type of fluid is recommended for use with my autopilot's hydraulic pump

Raymarine has made no recommendations regarding the specifications of the hydraulic fluid which should be used with its autopilot hydraulic pumps. Instead, Raymarine recommends that that the steering system be maintained with hydraulic steering fluid which adheres to the specifications of the vessel's hydraulic helm pump and steering ram.

If seeking hydraulic fluid fluid for a Raymarine hydraulic linear drive unit, then the following are recommended:
Recommended types.
Canmet Steering Fluid High VI,iso 15 Hydraulic oil.
Seastar / Baystar Marine Steering Fluid.

Other suitable types.
Texaco HO15.
AeroShell Fluid 4.
Esso Univis N15.
Chevron Aviation fluid A.
Mobil Aero HFA.
Fluids meeting MIL H5606 specifications.
