Replacing e140w - fferlise - 08-03-16 01:09 AM

I am wanting to replace e140w with newer MFD. Which unit? Will my existing transducer and sea talk work with upgrade?

Hello fferlise,
Any current Raymarine MFD will work as a replacement for your E140W however if you are looking to maintain the screen size then I would be looking at the eS127, e125/7 or the e165. Raymarine no longer manufacturers a 14" screen.
Your transducer can plug directly into the back of an e127 or eS127 depending on the model of the transducer you may need an adapter. On the E140W your transducer plugged into a Digital Sounder Module (DSM) and then was wired via SeaTalkHS (Ethernet) to the back of the E140W. You can keep your existing DSM/transducer setup as well and plug it into the e165, e125 or even the e127/eS127 via the same protocol (SeaTalkHS Ethernet).
