Saving Default Power Up Settings on e97 with V17 S/W - Bill Kneller - 08-04-16 11:46 AM

I have both e97 and e125 displays that are connected via Seatalk HS (Ethernet). They share data and displays very well. I have groups of waypoints defined (e.g. Racing, Cruising, etc.) that I am able to select on both displays. The e125 will remember the setting when it is powered off and restarted so the last group(s) I showed before power down are displayed and the others are hidden. The e97 defaults to showing all groups of waypoints when powered down and restarted.

This happens no matter which MFD I select as the data master. How do I force the e97 to remember the waypoint group that was enabled at power down?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Bill,

The subject problem was first detected in conjunction with the R16 software update and then duplicated in the R17 software update. In a nutshell, the non-Data Master MFDs will default all waypoints to SHOW when switched OFF and then ON again. This problem does not occur on the Data Master MFD. A problem reports has been logged to seek correction of this problem within a future a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software update. To work around this issue, it will be necessary to command the Chart applications pages/panes of the non-Data Master MFDs to HIDE the waypoints each time that the MFD's are switched ON.

Thanks Chuck - at least I validated the problem exists! :-)
