Quantum radar with a series - rube740 - 08-10-16 08:43 AM Hello. My radar works fine and I have it connected directly to 12v power. The problem is, is that I have to disconnect the fuse everytime I repower my GPS in order to get the radar to work again. Is this because it is a must to have a switch? Or can I bypass this some way? RE: Quantum radar with a series - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 08-13-16 03:40 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rube740, It is recommended that all currently manufactured Raymarine radomes and open array pedestals be powered from a switched 12V power circuit. One should not simply connect the radome or open array pedestal to the battery or bus bar to supply it with power. |
