Welcome to the Raymarine Forum falario,

In vessels having hydraulic steering systems the type of autopilot is determined based upon the type of hydraulic pump which will be installed onboard. The type of hydraulic pump to be installed is dependent upon the capacity of the steering system's steering ram(s) and how they have been plumbed (applicable only to steering systems having more than one steering ram). Accordingly, please specify the capacity of the hydraulic steering cylinders and whether they have been plumbed in series or parallel.
