Compass - seeray96 - 08-22-16 02:22 PM I have a fluxgate compass connected to the S3 on My 1995 SeaRay. I also have a second (I think) compass, under the helm seat, that I am not sure where it's connected. Attached is a picture of the unit. Can anyone advise me what type it is? RE: Compass - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 08-22-16 03:43 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Seeray96, The device listed within your photo is an ST80 Heading Sensor. The Raymarine Heading Sensor consists of an oil-filled sphere suspended in a custom built “swing bracketâ€, together with associated electronics. The Heading Sensor transmits magnetic compass heading data to equipment that is NMEA 0183 compatible, such as radars, RayData displays, and RayPilot autopilot systems RE: Compass - seeray96 - 08-25-16 08:21 AM Thanks, Chuck. I'm not getting a heading reading om E120 databar, so I assume this compass is not connected. Looks like I'll have to find the cable end and get it to the mfd.
