Advice on Sounder. - falario - 11-22-16 04:51 PM

I upgraded my MFD from C120 Classic to E125. The C120 was connected to a DSM250 sounder and an Airmar Transducer B60-20.

1. Is the DSM 250 compatible with E125? If so, how do I do this? what adapters do I need?

2 if not compatible, I would like advice on which sounder to buy that is compatible with my existing Transducer. I dont want to bore another [censored] in my hull.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum falario,

Q1. Is the DSM 250 compatible with E125? If so, how do I do this? what adapters do I need?
A1. Unfortunately, the DSM250 is not compatible with an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD. As you already have a compatible 600W 50/200kHz installed onboard, it would have typically been recommended that an e127 or eS127 MFD have been purchased instead of an e125. The currently installed B60-20 could have then been adapted (w/E66066 Transducer Adapter) to be mated to the MFD's Transducer socket.

Q2. if not compatible, I would like advice on which sounder to buy that is compatible with my existing Transducer. I dont want to bore another [censored] in my hull.
A2. Should you have already have purchased an e125, then it would be recommended that a CP370 Sounder Module be purchased and installed to replace the DSM250.
