Wi-Fish App On Nonactivated Smart Phone? - frobert775 - 12-01-16 12:20 PM

Does a Dragonfly Pro 7 connect with and send sonar data to a non activated (no cell contract) smart phone which has the Wi-Fish app?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum frobert775,

The Wi-Fish app does not utilize cellular communications to communicate with a Dragonfly display or Wi-Fish fishfinder. Instead, the Wi-Fish app utilizes Wi-Fi communications to communicate with a Dragonfly display or Wi-Fish fishfinder. Accordingly, it would not be necessary for the mobile device to have a cellular service subscription.
