Quantum radar with current MFD - kalakai - 12-05-16 06:50 AM

I am buying a boat that has 2 MFDs. I'm not certain about the model numbers but 'E120W' and 'hybridtouch' are on the bezel. The other, a smaller unit, only has 'hybridtouch' on the bezel and shows 'powered by lighthouse' and Raymarine e Series on the startup screen. I don't have access to the boat at this time to get more info.

Is is possible to know what model these are from this info (I tried attaching pics, they uploaded, but would not insert into post)?

Are these compatible with Quantum radar?

If yes, can I connect by cable OR wifi?

Did I understand another thread correctly that Quantum can only connect to 1 MFD at a time?

Thanks.

kalakai,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. While Quantum radomes may only establish Wi-Fi communications with one MFD within a network of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, all of the other a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs within the Ethernet network will have access (including simultaneous access) to this radar resource.
