ACU 200 AWG Suggestion - mlpayne9367@gmail.com - 12-05-16 02:48 PM

Considering the AWG size for a cable run length under 25 feet from the circuit panel to power the ACU 200; The ACU -will not- be powering the STng backbone; The ACU will power a Type-1 rotary drive.... what AWG is suggested for this run?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum mlpayne9367,

Drive type, voltage system (12V or 24V), and round trip distance to the batteries terminals (not the electrical panel) are the factors in determining the recommended wire gauge. The Power and drive cable selection table found on page 25 of the Evolution EV-1, ACU-100, ACU-200, ACU-300, ACU-400 Installation Instructions specifies the recommended wire gauge for each of these variables.
