Seatalk hs connect to slave mfd - anovey - 01-11-17 09:01 PM

I have a fusion 750 that I would like to control from the MFD's but I only have a Seatalk HS plug available on the slave MFD (I don't have a network switch and would like to avoid it). Can I plug the fusion in to the slave and have it work? I know I can plug it into the Seatalkng but I have heard it is better in the HS port.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum anovey,

Should one of the MFD's within the system feature an Ethernet Network socket which presently does not have a cable connected to it, then the socket may indeed be used to interface the system to the Fusion stereo head unit's Ethernet interface. Should you opt to interface it to a MFD's Ethernet Network socket, then that MFD must be powered ON whenever attempting to use the Fusion app within any of the system's other MFDs.
