updating a 2000 380 Sundancer - DaveG - 03-09-17 01:36 PM

I want to install an e80 MFD on my 2000 Sundancer 380.

All I really want from it is GPS MAp of a large lake (cumberland KY), depth from my through hull transducers, and MAYBE one day radar.

First I believe I need the e80, a dsm300, and a GPS 125 ant/receiver..

I assume my 2000 yr Sundancer does not have the compatible dsm. Also will my old transducers work?

Thanks from a real newbie at this stuff..........

Dave

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Dave,

Please note that the E80 MFDs were retired several years ago and are quickly nearing the point that Raymarine's Product Repair Center will no longer be able to service them. Compatible chart cards are also becoming a bit challenging to located for these MFDs. Is there a particular reason why you have selected an E80 for this applications? In order to specify whether the currently installed transducer may be used with Raymarine products, we will need to know what the currently installed transducer is or had been previously interfaced to.

Thanks for the help..

It is just budget, bang for the buck. We are putting 30,000 into restoring the boat after it was damaged in a marina roof collapse. the old electronics are obviously useless, budget is tight. I will try to find a transducer model but I think it is whatever was original 2000 model yr.
