What is difference between p17 p19 transducers - alans - 03-14-17 11:02 PM

HI

Have an ST60 but moving to ng.

Am replacing the depth transducer - not sure what I have. Probably the P19. What is the difference between the P17 and P19?

I am connecting the new transducer through an ITC-5 to NMEA 2000 Raymarine SeaTalk ng Network and then to i70.

Thanks

Alan

Hello Alan and welcome to the forum,

The biggest difference between the transducers, at the time of this post, is the P17 has a retractable insert and the P19 does not. In other words, the housing will stay where it is installed and the center portion that houses the elements, and where the cable goes, is removable.
