Chuck , I have an E120 with a radar , a high speed heading sense through the seatalk2 port , and a dsm300 through the seatalk hs port .can I tie in an additional E120 to this without using a seatalk hs switch ? if so how could it be done? thanks , Jim

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jim,

As the E-Series Classic MFDs were designed to communicate with other E-Series Classic MFDs and a DSM via Ethernet (SeaTalkhs), and these MFDs feature only one SeaTalkhs socket, an Ethernet switch (ex. HS5 RayNET Network Switch) must be installed onboard when interfacing more than two compatible devices having an Ethernet communications interface. The Ethernet (SeaTalkhs) socket of the DSM and each MFD would then be interfaced to the HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an assembly constructed from an A80272 RayNET (M) to SeaTalkhs (M) Adapter and an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable.
