fuse requirement - jim28 - 04-15-17 09:58 PM Chuck , I have a E120 with a 5S open array radar . The E120 manual says to refer to scanner handbook for fuse size for the display . I could not find that info there . Could you tell me how many amp fuse I should use ? Thanks , Jim RE: fuse requirement - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 04-18-17 01:13 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jim, While the C/E-Series MFDs were designed to supply power to radomes, then were not designed to power open array pedestal. The latter should be powered by a dedicated power circuit which has been protected with a 20A fuse or 15A breaker when powered by a 12V system. Should the MFD not be interfaced to a radome, then its power circuit may be protected with a 6.3A fuse or 5A breaker. RE: fuse requirement - jim28 - 04-18-17 05:52 PM Chuck , thanks for the reply and clarification on that . the manual just says radar scanner not radome . when you explained it , it makes sense . thanks again , Jim RE: fuse requirement - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 04-19-17 09:11 AM You're welcome. |
