B260 reading high temp (need Tech support) - ReelShocker - 04-24-17 12:30 PM

I upgraded from C120 to Gs165 used existing B260 thru hull transducer, DSM 300. very happy with unit!! When I bought the unit it had v17.45 everything worked great But I did an update to v17.46 about 2 months ago and ever since the water temp reads 127 degs. good voltage on boat, checked all connections did a resistance check on transducer its good. The problem doesn't happen ever time. Only when I fish. I check the unit the day after fishing it works great on the trailer. Could the issues I'm having be a software problem? Please help me get my sanity back.

Thanks Chuck, Next time I go fishing I will take my ohm meter. And if it reads high , I will check it then. If the finger points to a bad transducer I will remove the DSM300 and go back with a CP470. Then either a B265lh or B275lhw if it will work with the 470. What are your thoughts?

ReelShocker,

While the A80010 B265 LH 1KW transducer and A80322 B275LH-W are each designed and supported for use with the CP470 and CP570 CHIRP Sounder Modules. The increase cone angle of the Wide transducers are a great aid in locating fish and structures.
