RL70C - Capt. Ron - 04-24-17 01:40 PM

The screen on this color RL70C sometimes looses the chart, and just shows horizontal lines. A few years ago, I sent it to Raymarine and they could find nothing wrong...saying maybe a bad 12 volt connection.
Sometimes it works fine other times not.
This unit is now 15 years. Like all "computers" I know it is getting old.

Question: What could I replace this with that would still be compatible with the mono chrome RL70 in the cabin and that would work with the gps antenna and Raymarine radar antenna?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Ron,

Unfortunately, none of Raymarine's currently manufactured MFDs would be compatible with the RL70. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how you may identify whether the displays have hsb or hsb2 communications circuitry. The second hand display being sought must have matching hsb or hsb2 communications circuitry. Should the radar scanner need to be interfaced to RL70C, then the RL70C may be replaced only with a RL70, RL70C, or RL80C display (with or without RC option). Should the radar scanner able to be interfaced to RL70, then the RL70C may be replaced with a RL70, RL70C, or RL80C display (with or without RC option), RC520, RC530, RC631, L755, L760, or L1250.
