If I get the Raymarine AIS650 Transceiver, will it work with my E90W plotter?
Does it need to connect to my VHF radio (Icom)?
If not, can it share the masthead VHF antenna I already have for the radio?

The AIS650 may indeed be interfaced to an E-Series Widescreen MFD. It is generally recommended that SeaTalkng communications protocol be used to interface these products to one another. Should you not desire to install a second VHF antenna, then a Class B AIS Antenna Splitter (ex. AIS100) may be used. Should the VHF radio have a NMEA 0183 communications interface, then it should remain interfaced to the NMEA 0183 leads of the MFD's Power/Data/Video Input Cable.
