Best way to interface two e127 units - jcamp4 - 05-04-17 05:14 PM

I have 2 e127 screens, a Quantum radar, ev200 autopilot, and a b60 transducer. what is the best way to interface the 2 e127 units. Do I need an RAYMARINE HS5 or not?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum jcamp4,

As the e127 MFDS feature two RayNet sockets each, they will support interfacing with each other and two additional compatible products having an Ethernet communications interface without need for a network switch. As you have listed only one other possible device having an Ethernet communications interface (i.e. the Quantum radome), then no HS5 RayNet Network Switch would be required as long as both MFD will be switched ON when the system is being used. The MFD's would be interfaced to one another via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable and the Quantum Radar Data Cable (if one will be installed) will be interfaced to the Ethernet NETWORK socket of either MFD.
