1. I set up a test race course with 3 marks. I then "started" the course. I had turned on Laylines in the MFD. As I approached the mark, I never saw any lay lines appear.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum daknecht,

Q1. I set up a test race course with 3 marks. I then "started" the course. I had turned on Laylines in the MFD. As I approached the mark, I never saw any lay lines appear.

A1. Utilization of the Laylines feature is dependent upon sources of specific data within the system. Please respond with a list of the marine electronics products (makes and models) within your vessel's marine electronics system.

Electronics system: e95 chart plotter, Seatalkng network, EV-1 Autopilot, Tactic wind routed to network through Raymarine T122, Noland AM43, Actisense NGW. The e95 is seeing the wind data on the network.

daknecht,

The Laylines feature is dependent upon True Wind data, the calculation of which in turn requires the data items specified within the FAQ found here. Based upon the information supplied, it does not appear that your system includes a source of Speed (through water) data, an as such the system will be unable to calculate True Wind.
