What versions of software installed within my Raymarine products?

Each time that a Raymarine a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD is powered ON, a Limitations of Use message is displayed and must be acknowledged by the operator before being able to proceed with use of the product. In older Raymarine MFDs, Chartplotters, and GPS Displays, a Navigational Warning message is displayed and must be acknowledged by the operator before being able to proceed with use of the product. In the lower right hand corner of the message, the currently installed version of software for that product will be displayed.

Should an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD be powered ON and the Limitations of Use dialog have already been acknowledged, then the user may also access information concerning the currently installed version of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software via the following command sequence: HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE. Should all of the system's equipment be powered ON and this same command sequence be executed on the system's Data Master MFD, then the MFD will list each of the devices which have been interfaced via Ethernet (SeaTalkhs/RayNet) or SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 to the system. This list will also include the version of software installed within each Ethernet or SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 device. More detailed product information may be displayed by selecting the SHOW ALL option from the Select Device list.

Raymarine's latest generation of Multifunction Instrument Displays (i70) and Autopilot Control Heads (p70, p70R) are designed to list devices (MENU->SET-UP->SELECT->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT->ABOUT SYSTEM->SELECT->CONTINUE) which have been interfaced to the SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone and report the report the respective version of software each device device (Select/highlight device within displayed Devices List->SELECT). SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receivers require an additional step: select the SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receiver from the list and locate the NDR (SDR in older receivers) Software Version and Patches within the receiver's diagnostics information.

Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs were designed to be updated using commonly available microSD memory cards. Raymarine's C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs were designed to be updated using commonly available CF memory cards. The maximum size a microSD memory cards which may be used with Raymarine's C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs is likewise 32GB. Raymarine's A/C/E-Series Classic MFDs were designed to be updated using CF memory cards which had been commonly available when these products were manufactured. The maximum size a microSD memory cards for updating these MFD is 128MB. However, should one not already possess a CF memory card which have proven compatible in previously updating one's A/C/E-Series Classic MFD, then it is STRONGLY recommended that that a compatible CF memory card, populated with the software update files for one's A-Series Classic MFD, C-Series Classic MFD, or E-Series Classic MFD, be ordered from Radar Marine, Inc. (360.733.2012). Until recently, MFD and Chartplotting products introduced prior to the C-Series Classic MFDs (2003) could be updated by Raymarine's Product Repair Center ... this service is no longer available for these long retired products.

Unless otherwise specified, one need only install the latest version of software for any product to ensure that it has been updated with the latest features and feature corrections.
