X10 autopilot with P70R? Yes? No? - Seacom - 03-11-16 12:45 PM

I'm looking to upgrade to an existing and functioning autopilot and wondering if a P70 can be added to a system that already has a ST70 control head. I want to add a second station on the STNG network, are these systems compatible?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Seacom,

The p70 may indeed be used as second autopilot control head in a system featuring an X10 Autopilot Course Computer and ST70 Autopilot Control Head. Essentially, each of these devices would be interfaced as a spur to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone. It is strongly recommended that the ST70 Autopilot Control Head, X10 Autopilot Course Computer, and p70 Autopilot Control Head all be updated with the latest available Raymarine product software updates.

Wonderful. Thank you for confirming and I'll make sure to update all software at the same time. Cheers.
