[CA] issues with axiom - 206nolan - 06-30-17 11:14 AM My new Axiom mfd wont pair with my Ipad and wont display voltage. RE: issues with axiom - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 06-30-17 02:07 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum 206nolan, Q1. My new Axiom mfd wont pair with my Ipad. A1. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. Q2. My new Axiom mfd wont display voltage. A2. Indeed the Axiom MFD will indeed display voltage. Please note that engine systems typically report alternator output voltage, not battery voltage. Raymarine's Axiom MFDs and a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs are designed to exclusively support reporting battery voltage from a NMEA 2000 battery monitoring device (ex. Maretron DCM100, etc.) transmitting NMEA 2000 PGN 12750 (Battery Status). That said, I have had some personal experience with the Actisense EMU-1 which reports voltage from the SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone via NMEA 2000 PGN 12750 (Battery Status). Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs are designed to report supply voltage within the MFD's diagnostic features (H0ME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->SELECT DEVICE->Select the MFD of interest from the displayed Devices list). A feature request has been submitted to consider that Axiom MFDs, a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, and i70 MFIDs report supply voltage within the Battery 1 Voltage Data item when PGN 12750 is not present on the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. RE: issues with axiom - Wriggin - 07-28-17 08:17 AM What is the status of the voltage being displayed directly on the Axiom without the use of a NMEA 2000 device. Did it possibly get included in the recent software update? RE: issues with axiom - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 07-28-17 10:12 AM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Wriggin, The full list of changes included with each software update may be found within the software history table found within each product's software update web page. Per the software history table on the Axiom MFD software update web page, the feature which you have inquired about has not yet been included within a LightHouse 3 software update for the Axiom MFDs. Please click here more information concerning product and feature suggestions. RE: issues with axiom - 206nolan - 03-06-18 11:50 PM im pretty sure that the last update is what fixed it and now is showing battery voltage through the nmea2000 btw unit does pair with Ipad now RE: [CA] issues with axiom - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 03-07-18 11:45 AM 206nolan, Q1. I'm pretty sure that the last update is what fixed it and now is showing battery voltage through the nmea2000 this is what other devices do A1. Your statement is incorrect. As indicated within my initial response, the MFD's Battery Voltage data items are designed to be populated by devices transmitting NMEA 2000 PGN 12750 (Battery Status), such as Maretron's DCM100. However, as indicated within the Software History table of the LightHouse 3 software update web page or Axiom and Axiom Pro MFDs, Raymarine has added a new data item, Supply Voltage, within the v3.3.170 software update which may be used to monitor the voltage level supplied to the MFD. Understand that voltage level at a battery may differ from voltage level sensed at a powered device due to resistances with the circuit. Q2. also btw unit does pair with Ipad now A2. We're glad to learn of the success reported. |
