Axiom 12rv connections - Joejoe - 07-11-17 12:06 PM

Just installed Axiom 12 Rv in my Everglades 243 it is sweet! My question is what cable do I need to connect my RM 218 VHF radio to the GPS? The cable from my old E80 Classic does not match. Do I have options? How about cable to connect the external gps antenna to the MFD. have RM high speed network.
Thanks

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Joe,

Like Raymarine's a6x and a7x MFDs, the Axiom MFDs feature a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 communications interface, but not a NMEA 0183 communications interface it as did the E-Series Classic MFD. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how a MFD lacking a NMEA 0183 communications interface, but having a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 communications interface may be interfaced to a DSC VHF radio to supply it with GPS data. The Axiom MFD's NMEA 2000 plug will need to be mated to an A06045 DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Adapter which in turn will be connected to the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter pictured within the referenced FAQ.
