E Classic series Seatalk 2 port - MS Aeromarine - 03-14-16 09:14 AM Hello, We have a costumer with an E80 Multifunction display and we need to know if the seatalk 2 port is working, where can we find the pinout of this port? I found the NMEA 0183 and Seatalk pinout in the instalation manual, but Seatalk 2 is missed! A few more cuestions: Is Seatalk 2 fully compatible with Seatalk NG? Is necessary to power the Seatalk 2 port from the network in order it to work? Can GPS, autopilot, sounder and anemometer be connected to de E80 throught the Seatalk 2 port? Thanks in advance, Martin Sivolella Aeromarine S.A. RE: E Classic series Seatalk 2 port - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 03-14-16 03:17 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Martin, Please see the image below detailing the the E-Series Classic MFD's SeaTalk2/NMEA 2000 plug. When operating with the latest available Raymarine product software updates, E-Series Classic MFDs feature SeaTalkng/NMEA2000 support via the MFD's SeaTalk2/NMEA 2000 socket. Should one have a system featuring a ST290 DPU, then it is recommended that the DPU be interface to the system as a SeaTalk device via a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter. With the exception of AIS transceivers, the E-Series Classic MFD will support operation via SeaTalkng with other Raymarine products featuring a SeaTalkng communications interface. With respect to third party products other than engine systems, NMEA 2000 communications with E-Series Classic MFDs may occur for third party NMEA 2000 devices for which Raymarine offers a corresponding product.
