ES128 GPS not reading external GPS ant - rltrbill - 03-14-16 10:30 AM

I have a new Raystar RS130 connected but my unit says internal GPS. If I turn off internal, it says no GPS fix. I did try restarting unit with internal turned off and it still says no GPS fix..... How do I correct to read the external?

Also, the selector know has to be turned 1 FULL turn to move to the next highlighted selection. Real pain to turn in 4 full turns to move it down 4 columns. This used to work fine (like 1/4 turn to move it) until I sent the unit for repair in Sept when Raymarine updated the software (to v15.91 I believe).

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rltrbill,

The Raystar 130 GPS's spur cable should not be plugged directly into the MFD's SeaTalk port. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how a Raystar 130 GPS Sensor should be interfaced to an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD.

We're sorry to learn of the problem reported with the MFD's UniController. It is recommended that the MFD be returned to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to have the problem corrected.
